　　 The Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen (Second Affiliated Hospital of Southern University of Science and Technology) was founded in 1985. In December 2010, the Hospital was relocated to Buji Lilang, Longgang District, Shenzhen. It is a large-scale modern municipal hospital of Class III Grade A for infectious diseases founded by the Shenzhen Municipal Government with the characteristics of “Strong Specialty and Comprehensiveness”. It is mainly responsible for the prevention and control of infectious diseases and major epidemic diseases in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, Macao, Zhuhai, Dongguan and Huizhou, as well as the comprehensive medical services for 20 million citizens in Shenzhen. Based on the requirement of "Eastward Development Strategy" of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, the Hospital takes tuberculosis as the leading subject and infectious diseases as the specialty. 　　The Hospital covers an area of 100,000 square meters, with an existing building area of 215,000 square meters and a total of 1,600 beds. After the completion of the second phase of the reconstruction and expansion project, the total construction area of the Hospital will exceed 430,000 square meters, and the total number of beds will reach 2,300. It is one of the Chinese hospitals with advanced design and equipment allocation. It has 1,564 employees, including 283 with senior titles, 20 with post-doctoral degrees, and 380 with doctoral and master degrees. 　　 The hospital vigorously promotes the construction of key disciplines, and has built 15 national and provincial key specialties and key laboratories, including national key clinical specialties for infectious diseases. The Infectious Diseases Department was established in 1985, with 385 beds. 　　 2003年醫(yī)院共收治非典確診病例46例，疑似病例390例。以預(yù)防性服藥為主的綜合性防治措施，實(shí)現(xiàn)了全院無一例SARS 病人院內(nèi)死亡，600多名職工無一例院內(nèi)感染的“深圳神話 ”。2006年通過有關(guān)特異性抗體免疫方法治愈深圳首例人禽流感患者，經(jīng)驗(yàn)總結(jié)發(fā)表在《新英格蘭醫(yī)學(xué)》并被列入國(guó)家戰(zhàn)略物質(zhì)儲(chǔ)備。2009年全球豬流感大爆發(fā)，全院收治了來自全球五大洲66個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的1166例甲流隔離觀察患者。2013年至今我院共收治重癥禽流感患者44例，借助感染病重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室平臺(tái)，對(duì)全部患者實(shí)現(xiàn)了精準(zhǔn)診斷，指導(dǎo)臨床搶救治療，病死率9.1%，遠(yuǎn)低于全國(guó)39.6%的病死率。
　　
　　 In 2003, 46 confirmed cases of SARS and 390 suspected cases were admitted to the Hospital. The comprehensive prevention and control measures based on preventive medication contributed to the "Shenzhen Myth" that no SARS patient died and no employees were infected in the Hospital. In 2006, the first patient of human avian influenza in Shenzhen was cured by specific antibody immunization. The experience summary was published in New England Medicine and listed in the national strategic material reserve. During the global swine flu outbreak in 2009, 1,166 isolated patients of H1N1 influenza in observation from 66 countries and regions on five continents were admitted to the hospital. Since 2013, 44 patients with severe avian influenza have been admitted to the hospital. With the help of the key laboratory platform of infectious diseases, accurate diagnosis has been achieved for all patients and clinical rescue and treatment has been guided. The fatality rate of the Hospital is 9.1%, which is far lower than that of 39.6% in the whole country.

　　2017年5月，深圳市第三人民醫(yī)院正式獲得廣東省衛(wèi)計(jì)委頒發(fā)的肝臟移植、腎臟移植“牌照”。醫(yī)院現(xiàn)全力建設(shè)器官移植中心，并以器官移植工作為龍頭推動(dòng)醫(yī)療水平綜合發(fā)展，打造醫(yī)院核心競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力。截止2019年7月，完成身后器官捐獻(xiàn)和肝、腎器官移植手術(shù)共152例，在深圳市乃至廣東省引起了強(qiáng)烈的關(guān)注和良好反響。
　　
　　In May 2017, the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen was officially granted the "license" of liver and kidney transplantation issued by the Health Commission of Guangdong Province. The Hospital is now making every effort to build an organ transplantation center, and promote the comprehensive development of medical level with organ transplantation as the leading task, so as to build the core competitiveness of the Hospital. 　　 On February 26, 2018, the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen, the Key Laboratory of Pathogenic Microorganisms and Immunology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Beijing Genomics Institute and the ZTE Netcom-Brazil FIOCRUZ Foundation established the Center for the Prevention and Research of Infectious Diseases. China and Brazil will establish the information sharing network for emerging infectious diseases and the interactive network for pathogen data. The China division, based at the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen, is responsible for the research of epidemic diseases such as influenza, Chikungunya, Zhaika fever, dengue fever, yellow fever, Oropuche fever and other infectious diseases (such as tuberculosis). 　　 作為深圳科研領(lǐng)頭單位之一，醫(yī)院設(shè)有深圳市肝病研究所，配套實(shí)驗(yàn)室面積4682㎡，建設(shè)有BSL-3實(shí)驗(yàn)室和SPF級(jí)動(dòng)物室，其中生物安全二級(jí)實(shí)驗(yàn)室面積3900㎡，BSL-3實(shí)驗(yàn)室391㎡，動(dòng)物實(shí)驗(yàn)室391㎡，為全市醫(yī)院所獨(dú)有。購置的科研設(shè)備總價(jià)值超過2億。包括illumina事代高通量測(cè)序儀、Sequenom Massarray生物芯片質(zhì)譜系統(tǒng)、Zeiss共聚焦顯微鏡、高效液相色普儀、超速離心機(jī)、磁珠細(xì)胞分選器、激光顯微切割儀等。建立完善了高通量MassARRAY核酸分析平臺(tái)、細(xì)胞免疫分析技術(shù)平臺(tái)、分子生物學(xué)技術(shù)平臺(tái)、實(shí)驗(yàn)動(dòng)物技術(shù)平臺(tái)，在滿足自身研究需要的同時(shí)技術(shù)平臺(tái)還對(duì)國(guó)內(nèi)的科研院所進(jìn)行開放服務(wù)，實(shí)現(xiàn)了資源和技術(shù)共享。實(shí)驗(yàn)室先后與國(guó)外著名學(xué)府、研究機(jī)構(gòu)進(jìn)行合作交流，其中包括美國(guó)國(guó)立衛(wèi)生研究院（NIH）、美國(guó)麻省大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院（UMASS）、美國(guó)Trudeau研究所、美國(guó)Tufts大學(xué)以及澳大利亞悉尼大學(xué)等。
　　
　　
　　 As one of the leading scientific research units in Shenzhen, the Hospital has Shenzhen Institute of Liver Diseases, with a supporting laboratory area of 4682m2 and it has the BSL-3 laboratory and the SPF-level animal laboratory. The second-level laboratory of biosafety covers an area of 3900 m2, the BSL-3 laboratory covers a total of 391 m2 and the animal laboratory covers a total of 391 m2, unique to Shenzhen's hospitals. The total value of scientific research equipment is over RMB 200 million. 　　近5年來，醫(yī)院先后承擔(dān)國(guó)家重大科技專項(xiàng)24項(xiàng)，國(guó)家、省自然科學(xué)基金33項(xiàng)，累計(jì)獲得科研經(jīng)費(fèi)超過4億元。2012年感染病科引進(jìn)的香港大學(xué)“新發(fā)傳染病研究團(tuán)隊(duì)”獲深圳市“孔雀計(jì)劃”資助（2500萬元）。2015年獲得深圳市衛(wèi)生系統(tǒng)首個(gè)國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金杰出青年基金。先后獲得國(guó)家“十二五”傳染病重大科技專項(xiàng)分課題18項(xiàng)，國(guó)家“十二五”傳染病重大科技專項(xiàng)牽頭1項(xiàng)。近5年共發(fā)表SCI論文200篇，累計(jì)影響因子超過1000分，包括國(guó)際頂尖雜志《N Engl J Med.》、《Science》、《Nature》、《Lancet》、《Nat Genent》、《PLoSPathog》等論文10余篇。國(guó)家、省、市級(jí)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)9項(xiàng)，獲得發(fā)明專利9項(xiàng)。
　　
　　In the past five years, the Hospital has undertaken 24 major national science and technology projects and 33 national and provincial natural science funds, and has accumulated more than RMB 400 million in scientific research funds. In 2012, the "Emerging Infectious Diseases Research Team" of the University of Hong Kong introduced by the Infectious Diseases Department was funded by the Peacock Program of Shenzhen (RMB 25 million). In 2015, the Hospital was awarded the First National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Fund of Shenzhen Health System. 　　 In 2018, the Hospital made great progress in discipline construction, ranking 87th in the Natural Index of Chinese Hospitals published by the Natural Publishing Group in the form of index. 　　未來五年，醫(yī)院將以打造廣深醫(yī)療高地高水平醫(yī)院為要求，依托結(jié)核病國(guó)家臨床醫(yī)學(xué)研究中心平臺(tái)，建成粵、港、澳及珠三角地區(qū)集醫(yī)療、科研、教學(xué)與預(yù)防保健于一體，國(guó)內(nèi)一流、國(guó)際先進(jìn)水平的現(xiàn)代化三級(jí)甲等研究型醫(yī)院。一方面將以需求為導(dǎo)向，發(fā)揮區(qū)域協(xié)同作用，系統(tǒng)加強(qiáng)臨床科研資源共建共享，推動(dòng)生物樣本、醫(yī)療健康大數(shù)據(jù)等資源的高效整合利用，尤其是結(jié)核病領(lǐng)域在三年內(nèi)建成國(guó)內(nèi)第一、世界一流的結(jié)核病綜合學(xué)科。另一方面繼續(xù)引進(jìn)高端人才，加快人才“走出去”步伐，培養(yǎng)臨床研究專業(yè)人才，加強(qiáng)對(duì)醫(yī)學(xué)科技領(lǐng)軍人才和優(yōu)秀創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)的培養(yǎng)，培養(yǎng)一批高素質(zhì)的與世界水平接軌的科研領(lǐng)軍人才和創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)。在器官移植事業(yè)上，強(qiáng)有力引進(jìn)和培養(yǎng)器官移植學(xué)科專家團(tuán)隊(duì)，夯實(shí)學(xué)科內(nèi)涵，全面鋪開建設(shè)醫(yī)院器官移植事業(yè)，爭(zhēng)取2019年達(dá)到國(guó)內(nèi)先進(jìn)水平，進(jìn)入大器官移植醫(yī)院第一方陣。同時(shí)，醫(yī)院還將積極開展疾病防控領(lǐng)域國(guó)際科技交流與合作，將與華大基因、中興通訊、騰訊、邁瑞等一批深圳本地優(yōu)秀企業(yè)和深圳出入境檢驗(yàn)檢疫局單位合作，推進(jìn)重大疾病國(guó)際科技合作研究網(wǎng)絡(luò)的建設(shè)，打造國(guó)際化臨床科研攻關(guān)團(tuán)隊(duì)，以建設(shè)結(jié)核病國(guó)家臨床醫(yī)學(xué)研究中心為契機(jī)，對(duì)標(biāo)最高最優(yōu)最好，推動(dòng)深圳醫(yī)療走出國(guó)門。
　　
　　In the next five years, in order to build a high-level hospital in Guangzhou-Shenzhen Medical Highland, relying on the platform of National Clinical Research Center for Tuberculosis, the Hospital will be built into a first-class modern research hospital of Class III Grade A in China and internationally, integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and preventive health care in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Pearl River Delta. On the one hand, the Hospital will be demand-oriented, play a role of regional synergy, systematically strengthen the joint construction and sharing of clinical research resources, promote the efficient integration and utilization of biological samples, medical and health data and other resources, and especially build the leading domestic and world-class comprehensive discipline of tuberculosis within three years in the field of tuberculosis. On the other hand, the Hospital will continue to introduce high-end talents, speed up the pace of "going out" of talents, train clinical research professionals, strengthen the training of leading medical talents and excellent innovation teams, and cultivate a number of world class high-quality research leading talents and innovation teams. The Hospital will introduce and cultivate the team of experts in the field of organ transplantation, consolidate the connotation of the discipline, and comprehensively develop the cause of organ transplantation, so as to reach the advanced level in China and become one of the large hospitals of organ transplantation in 2019. It will also actively carry out international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation in the field of disease prevention and control. It will cooperate with a number of excellent local enterprises in Shenzhen such as the Beijing Genomics Institute, ZTE, Tencent and Mindray, and Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to promote the construction of international scientific and technological cooperation research network for major diseases and build an international clinical research team. Taking the opportunity of building the national clinical research center for tuberculosis, the Hospital will set the highest standard, and promote Shenzhen Medical Service internationally.
